All the visuals you need to support independence and prevent behavior in your preschool or elementary classroom...and decorate your classroom at the same time.  The 15 color backgrounds are tone-on-tone polka dots to prevent distraction from the students but provide the opportunity to color code your students' schedules while also making your classroom look great!  This set includes picture schedules, written schedules, visual cueing for receptive language, classroom rules, and classroom jobs.

This product is an electronic file download Adobe Acrobat file. No product will be mailed to you.  You are responsible for assuring you have the needed software to open and print it.  Directions for construction are included in the file.  Make sure you are opening it with Adobe Acrobat Reader (find it free here) and following the printing instructions included in the download.

What's Included?

• Individual Picture Schedules in 15 Colored Tone-on-Tone Polka Dot Patterns

In each schedule, there are 72 picture cards corresponding to common activities for classrooms serving students with special needs. Each student has an assigned color and there are 15 color possibilities. The color helps the student to identify which schedule is his or hers. There are several activities that are represented by multiple pictures. For instance, everyone’s morning meeting may look different. Young students might be on the floor, while older students would be at a table. Some classrooms use whiteboards or interactive whiteboards, while others just have a teacher at the front of the group.

• 70 Group Schedule Icons / Check-In Schedule Icons

There is a group schedule icon for each picture on the individual picture schedules. In addition, there are 2 group schedule icons that represent center-times when students are all engaged in different activities so that they can be represented as “centers” on the group schedule. All the group and check-in visuals are bordered in black and white polka dots.

• 62 Individual Written Word Icons in 3 Colors

These are designed for students who do not need the pictures and are able to read and comprehend the words for the activities. Typically there are fewer students who are able to use a schedule independently with just words, so I only included 3 colors.

• 26 classroom jobs with 4 blank cards

Most of the jobs have 2 title options: one is a real-world job (e.g., electrician) and one is a traditional helper job (e.g., light helper). A title graphic for the job board is also included. There is one set with title and cards in black and white polka dot and one in multicolored polka dot for you to choose.

• Classroom Rules

I have given you several options for classroom rules. There are 2 single-page rules that are easily portable. These are in multi-color polka dots. In addition, the visual cues from the cueing belts match the rules so the students will be familiar with them. I also made a set with a page for each rule. There are black and white polka dot versions and multicolor polka dot versions. This will allow you to make a bulletin board display with them and to choose which rules will work best for your class.

• 3 mini/task schedules—handwashing, arrival routine, bathroom (in two polka dot pattern borders)
• Stop signs for doors and limit setting
