Chevron Pre-K - Elementary Classroom Visual Bundle for Autism and Special Education Classrooms

$11.00
Type: digital

Are you setting up your special education classroom and want it to be visually thematic and colorful, but not distracting to your students? If so, this visual set is just what you have been looking for to get you set up and color coded for students with autism and special needs.

Geared specifically for preschool and elementary-aged students, the individual schedules have a chevron pattern embedded on a solid color (see pictures for details). Group schedule pieces, jobs and others are multi-colored chevron patterns to round out the theme.  You can color code your classroom for up to 15 students using picture schedules, written schedules, visual cueing for receptive language, classroom rules, and classroom jobs all with single or multi-color chevron patterns accenting the visuals.

What's Included?

  • Individual Picture Schedules in 15 Colored Chevron Patterns

In each schedule, there are 72 picture cards corresponding to common activities for classrooms serving students with special needs. Each student can have an assigned color and there are 15 color possibilities. The color helps the student to identify which schedule is his or hers. There are several activities that are represented by multiple pictures. For instance, everyone’s morning meeting may look different. Young students might be on the floor, while older students would be at a table. Some classrooms use whiteboards or interactive whiteboards, while others just have a teacher at the front of the group.

  • 70 Group Schedule Icons / Check-In Schedule Icons

There is a group schedule icon for each picture on the individual picture schedules. In addition, there are 2 group schedule icons that represent center-times when students are all engaged in different activities so that they can be represented as “centers” on the group schedule.

  • 66 Individual Written Word Icons in 8 Colors

These are designed for students who do not need the pictures and are able to read and comprehend the words for the activities. Typically there are fewer students who are able to use a schedule independently with just words, so I only included 8 colors but can add more if needed at no extra cost.

  • 26 classroom jobs with 4 blank cards

Most of the jobs have 2 title options: one is a real-world job (e.g., electrician) and one is a traditional helper job (e.g., light helper). A title graphic for the job board is also included.

  • Classroom Rules

There are individual rules (1 per page) that you can put on a bulletin board and select the ones you need. There are also 2 one-page sets of rules. The rule visuals match the visuals for the visual cueing lanyard.

  • First-Then Board
  • 12 Visuals for a visual cueing lanyard for redirection
  • 2 mini/task schedules—handwashing, bathroom routine, arrival routine
  • Stop signs for doors and limit setting
