These engaging circle activities are great whether you are teaching at a distance, on an interactive whiteboard, or using hands-on tools in the winter. They will keep your students engaged with communication, making choices, and singing songs. The original book about taking a winter walk comes with questions for expanding language and working on listening comprehension.
The set includes lots of ideas for expanding instruction. And I've included a video walking you through how to put it all together and use it with your students.
You can use the visual supports during circle time or morning meeting. The visuals are designed to create opportunities for communication, choice making, counting, identifying names and/or pictures, comprehension, and meaningful participation. The We Are Making Cocoa even includes sequencing that you can use for cooking and independent work. In addition it contains the visuals needed to add these activities to a choice board for students to choose which song to sing.
